Date: 2025-01-22Times:

The Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Platform is dedicated to supporting large-scale biomedical computations. This platform leverages a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster equipped with robust big data processing and parallel computing capabilities, designed to handle and support tasks centered on biological and medical computations.

In terms of computational resources, the current cluster configuration includes:

38 general-purpose CPU computing nodes

6 fat nodes for CPU tasks with high memory requirements

3 computing nodes equipped with 4 L40 GPU cards for general-purpose GPU tasks

2 computing nodes equipped with 8 L40 GPU cards for general-purpose GPU tasks

2 computing nodes featuring 8 A800 GPU cards with NVLink for GPU tasks with high memory bandwidth requirements

Regarding storage capacity, the cluster currently provides 8PB of production storage, capable of accommodating a large volume of biological and medical data.

In addition to offering computational power and storage at the hardware level, the platform has also deployed a wide array of commonly used bioinformatics and computational biology software, enabling the direct execution of routine biomedical computations and analyses. Furthermore, the Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Platform offers comprehensive software development solutions, such as creating online computational service websites for products, to facilitate the industrial transformation of high-quality algorithms.
